@TXGuy, I'm sorry to see you didn't receive comments to your post. I'm considering similar and wondering how you installed and if you are happy with it?

I think the 30" convection next to (side by side) the 24" combi with warming drawer will look just fine. I think the eye focuses on the horizontal rather than the vertical. So no one focuses on (or for that matter, cares) that the width is different. Measure the cabinets in your existing kitchen. You might be surprised to find (as I did) that different widths have been installed around your kitchen.

I am going with the gag 30" convection and gag 24" combi-microwave (rather than steam). I originally was planning on a stacked 30"/30". However, I wanted more counter space, so I am splitting the units up and installing the 24" combi-microwave into the wall between my kitchen and pantry (I have no room in the kitchen to install another cabinet). The back half of the unit will stick into my pantry (which has a door so is not normally visible), so I lose a bit of space there instead. No big deal to me. The combi will be installed at the "perfect" height.

I created a thread on here where I asked about installing this oven into my wall (something that homeowners have been doing for a long time--hence the name wall oven--until cabinet makers created a cabinet for our wall ovens). As is all-to-frequent here, there were some who didn't answer my question and instead berated me for my idea. At the end of the day, it is my kitchen and my decision. I just wanted to know if it was practical and possible. After their comments, I moved my question to a website frequented by the men who actually have installed ovens into walls and got the helpful advice and tips on what to do from them.

The 30" convection oven will be installed in my base cabinet. I rarely use the 30" oven that I have in my existing kitchen now, so I don't expect to be using the 30" convection oven much (twice a year) anyway and don't necessarily care that it is not installed at the perfect height.

@jj-mekai Sorry I'm so late to replying to this. The placement issues were discussed on another thread, IIRC. Sadly, I do not have the ovens installed yet as my project has been severely delayed, but I've decided to stack, although I still think that a side-by-side installation would yield a more ergonomic result. So I'll be putting the 30" steam oven over the 30" convection oven. However, I do have a new member of my design team, so perhaps they'll have a clever idea to facilitate side by side installation (although I'm not holding my breath).

I did side by side with the warming drawer below the steam oven. I think it's fine. (and the house is not crooked - my photo skills are...)
