The edges can be re-profiled on site. You're getting a round over, not an ogee. Not gonna be cheap.

It can be done on site. Obviously there is some skill involved here, so hopefully they know what they are doing. Why do you not like the bevel? Pics?

I see that your granite is black...is that correct? Does the quartz bother you more than the granite does? If so, you could just have the island re-profiled.

It looks like your project is still underway — you may want to wait and see if you can live with it after your colors, accessories, etc. are all in place. BTW nice subtle veining, love that!

It will be a much bigger undertaking than that tiny bevel really warrants -- nobody is losing a glass over the edge or whatever! Give it some time until it's not the Latest Thing, grabbing your attention...

The quartz definitely bothers me more than the granite. I think just the island would probably be the way to go. I ended up contacting the company- they’re going to see if the templater left enough edge. fingers crossed- if not I may just have to learn to love it and remember this mistake if we ever redo or build again! Why don't you ask the people who fabricated the counter? That's where I would start.

I agree with the others that I'd live with it for a little while. Once the whole kitchen is together you may not dislike it. It's hard when you're just seeing a piece of it at a time. Usually I'm ALL for simple and crisp lines but I actually like that yours is a little different and it may look kinda unique and cool once your lights, etc. are in. They can always redo the edging whether it's now or in a year.
