Personally, I like the lemon yellow border. Now that I gave my input, I will see updates, and I really hope you will post some project pictures

That's going to be a lovely quilt! I think it will look nice with either a black or a yellow border!

You might consider leaving your quilt as black and white and use yellow as your accent color. After the Airstream is long gone, your quilt should still be useful. Possibly in a setting without yellow. The quilt will still be a nice reminder of the Airstream and the flooring you chose. However, it's your quilt, and your decision......the one that will make you the happiest. :-)

Laura, I think your idea of leaving the quilt black and white and using yellow throw pillows is a good one. The quilt will be stunning. Another idea... since you said you are not using solids, you could use a black print that had a little yellow in it. Then you could use a yellow border or not. Here is an example of what I mean. This is a lotto winnings quilt from several years back. One of the black and white prints had a little red in it, so I used red for the inner border. Sorry the photo is so fuzzy. It didn't enlarge clearly.

I like the idea of a narrow yellow border followed by a wider black or white one. Or you could forget the yellow completely and use it as accent.
