Your products and appliances are doing what they are intended to do...if you want your clothes to come out of the dryer with a scent, you’ll need to add a product to the dryer that adds a scent, ie dryer sheets, woolies with essential oils, etc

What you want is laundry scent boosters.

No scent after washed and dried = perfect. Just how I feel about it. I use fabric softener for just cotton t-shirts/sweats/underwear that's it. If you take out clothing items from dryer when still damp and hang them, they may retain more scent that way.

If you need something that smells, grab yourself a yellow bottle of Tide Simply. I bought one for a dollar with a coupon and it left my clothes nauseatingly perfumy.

Just buy those laundry scent booster beads and add them to the washer with each load. There are various scents from different manufacturers. These will definitely give you lasting scent in your clothes and you can vary the scent strength by the amount of beads you add to the washer.
