2 Noids, any guesses?

So about 4-5 years ago, a good friend of mine took over as Garden Manager at a nearby botanical gardens. It lost funding in the 2008 crash and sat idle for a number of years. It finally got new funding around 2014 and my friend took over the following year as I recall. There were overgrown beds and missing labels and tons of weeds. She dug up quite a few things and gave them to me as they were just getting tossed. These are a couple of hostas that I’ve had and never knew what they were.

This little guy has filled out considerably over time. I thought maybe Golden Tiara but the leaves are pretty small.

You can see the pot behind to the left that has Creeping Jenny and Blue Mouse Ears for size comparison. Leaf size is similar.

The second is another small guy. This plant is probably a 14-16” clump at this point. Initially the guess was Praying Hands or Curly Fries. But now that I have Curly Fries, the color is not even close. And there is no definitive margin so I think that rules out PH. But I’m not sure, obviously. It does get morning sun until about noon.

I think your first thought was correct, it looks like Golden Tiara. The leaves at maturity are 4x4.

The 2nd could be a seedling since the garden was neglected for a number of years.

This is a seedling of Lemon Lime in my garden. It seems quite similar to yours. Flowers will help too.

I cant recall the flower so will have to wait for that. Is Hascksaw a possibility?

Hacksaw would have come up yellowish and have serrated edges.

no where close to praying hands .. imo ...

how in the heck did you make the gold tiara glow in 2 different pix ... its so close.. but im not sure.. maybe we can just call it irradiated GT .... or you have to quit panting when you are taking pix of your hosta.. fogging up the camera ....

seems like i wasted a lot of time in some other post.. explaining to you how to use hosta in pots ....

this joint that closed... were they buying state of the art plants .. the newest and the bestest .... or were they just getting cheaper older plants .... or donations .... seems of little use to be suggesting collector names .. if they couldnt be such .... if you get my drift ...

It’s a rainy weekend, so I was outside taking pics in the rain. That is probably the cause of the glow.

These are still potted from the move from the old place. As I may have explained, we put the other house on the market before the pandemic hit. Per my real estate agent, any plant in the ground had to stay with the house. So in a panic before the photographer showed up I started potting up as many in-the-ground hostas in any pots or vessels I had(hence the use of galvanized tubs from the kennel). Then the pandemic hit and the house sat for almost a year. We actually pulled the house off the market as no one was doing showings. It only just sold as a former client called and made an offer.

As to the old botanical gardens,as I recall they had a few nice grants for plant procurement. I doubt they were buying super rare plants at auction, though. There was a big hosta place south of Atlanta that the owner, Bob something, would do workshops and donate plants to the host garden.

Back to the hosta, the solid green guy may never get a name and that’s ok. I did just order a batch of plant markers online so am trying to put names with plants as possible. If I end upmwith a few NOIDs no panic.
