Help me pick a purple shutter!

The door is Cultivar green. I always wanted a purple house, but I'll settle for shutters. I'm partial to the top left and bottom right.

Sorry but IMO the door should have been purple if you love that and the shutters a color that actualy works with the brick something like this

The deeper eggplant purple is best with the door. The hues work better together. The light lilac colors will quickly fade in the sun too.

If you are wanting purple, then the bottom left. Its the only one that appears to be really purple. Others appear a bit more lilac or blue. However, I do agree, that purple would be better for your door, and not your shutters. Match some big pots to the purple you pick, and plant in them, to add a bit more of the purple in certain areas around the front of the house.

I would either do the bottom left eggplant or the top right purple. The eggplant goes best with the door and the brick, I feel like the top right goes next best with the door but the other two seem to have different undertones. If you decide not to do the shutters a purple door plus purple plants blooming throughout the seasons would be nice to give you a purple house that is a little more subtle.

I love these Benjamin Moore purples.

    Bottom right

I‘m with Patricia, but of the 4 I’d pick the bottom left.

My last living room was BM Wet Concrete which was a great purple but looks like it’s not recommended for exterior use. With your door you need something brighter.

Choose either purple OR green. You could use a very deep eggplant color, or a dark pine green for both the door and shutters. None of your options shown above work with the brick or the style of your home.

Bottom left + door! Push the envelope!

I agree with Patricia. Purple shutters are….a stretch. (Sorry.). Perhaps a purple door, if you really must; purple flowers etc instead would be even better. Wisteria! But in the end, it’s your house, and if purple shutters truly fill you with joy, then follow your bliss.

Bottom left is my choice. Go for it! It’s your house, your turn. Besides, if you change your mind, shutters are easily repainted or removed. Enjoy!

Purple shutters are not exotic in Europe, in particular in France

This one below is my favorite and I think it goes best with green and pinkish stone.

Purple and green is also seen together

Sometimes reading Houzz responses I begin to worry that some people want the entire world remade into something they alone want to look at.

I say, just go for it, its your house. It needs to make you happy. It really is hard to get everyone to agree, when you ask, because, we all have different ideas, and like different colors. Follow your heart.

How fun! Bottoms left for me too!

One additional thought. Usually brick is made up of many different colors. Is there a deep shade of purple in it? Maybe small, but if so, match that.

Bottom left❣️Your desire for purple shutters is quite the British/ European look. I am a retired United States Air Force Captain and was stationed for 2.5 years at Lakenheath Air Force Base, England and the Brits love colorful doors and shutters. You see all colors of the rainbow there❣️

What is the name of the bottom left color and who makes it ?

I like 1 And Two from the top and 4

Either of the top 2 if you're keeping the door color. I really like all of them! My first instinct was the same ones you liked. I think they would all look great. I don't care for the bottom left with the door, but if you painted the door as well, I think it would look great!

These are the colors you selected as defined by SW Paints.

Not all of them fall into the purple family.
