What are the walls in the rest of the house? . Is this a new to you space ? How does the island color work for your space ? IMO if new to you I would not spend money on anything until I found out how the space functions for you . If you truly want help then I need more info as to the rest of the house.

Hi thank you! The majority of the walls in the rest of the house are a lighter shade of beige. Yes new to us just moved in and looking to update even with paint and light fixtures in the mean time. Having just purchased we are not in the market for a full kitchen remodel at this time but hoping there is something we can do to update at a lower price point.

I was thinking of a color along the lines of the raisin on these walls for your island, and then sage and gold paint elsewhere, leaving the cabinets alone.

Hi! Some options for the paint on the walls would certainly be lighter warm colors such as Chantilly Lace or White Dove by Benjamin Moore. For the island, there are some dark accents in your tile above the stove so a contrasting option could be a charcoal/brown such as Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams. Hope this helps! Best of luck!
