We live in Florida, and this issue just happens in summer for us. We have a large common area with a living room / kitchen and 4 skylights. The ceiling is 12’ but the skylight shafts are long up to the vaulted roof. There are air vents on the roof a few feet from each skylight. Wr are getting condensation around each skylight shaft on the ceiling to the point where we can visibly see it and it leaves mildew.

Things we’ve already done:

-Changed the a/c vents to plastic, which stopped the condensation from forming and dripping from metal grates

-Added attic insulation

-Tried a room dehumidifier

We are to the point of wanting to repair the tape joints and drywall on the ceiling but it makes no sense to do that until we have a solution for the condensation. Other ideas we might try are tinting the skylights or even somehow putting intake vents in the shafts. Thoughts?
