vanity install issue—do I fix or let it go?

Our vanity was installed incorrectly. The two sides were supposed to match, but the side on the wall was made shorter. We have a full panel so I can ask the contractor to fix it.

I think the issue is that the interior design drawings (image 3) are slightly different than the product drawings (image 4). The original design had side panels that follow the drawers, but the actual product ordered goes all the way down. Our installer appears to have done one side like the design drawing and one like the product drawing...

Big issue or no? Should I push to get it fixed?

I would leave it. The fact that one side of the vanity is against a wall and the other isn't makes it ok for them not to match perfectly (no one will even notice) and it looks fine. If you change it they will need to rip it out and cut the baseboard (tile?), and you will risk having something (tile, vanity, etc.) get damaged in the process. It really looks fine! Maybe remind the contractor though that if he is not 100% sure about something ask before installing!

No one will ever notice the difference. Not worth redoing it and realize that when you build or renovate, things will go wrong. When it's small potatoes like the side of the vanity, or where the handles are placed, you have to sometimes just let it be. Especially if it's such a small issue that no one will notice.

This would have been an easy fix before the countertops, backsplash and plumbing were installed. Now I think your window for a reinstall is closed. You can possibly have them add a little stock piece to the toe kick area on the left. It will not be perfect and will show a seam close up, but from afar might look symmetrical. Other than than, I would let it go.
