That granite won't work with your walls. The tones are too cool. I'd go with black granite counters in a honed or leathered finish. A glossy finish will be hard to keep clean; you'll see every last fingerprint. Ask me how I know. :-)

Thank you so much! As I said my decorating skills are nil ☺️. When you say the tones are too cool are you saying it needs more orange or gold or red undertones? I really would like to avoid a black countertop if possible. I don’t know I’ve just never been a fan of black countertops. Would either of these counters pictured be warm enough in tone? The first one I ran across in Home Depot. The others I saw at the slab place last weekend.

that's a pretty granite and would look nice with your cabinets. But, would you consider painting your walls? maybe it's the computer screen, but i agree that the wall color is too warm for the cabinets and granite options. It looks ochre/golden on the screen.

I’m saying that grays/blues in the stone won’t work with those mustard yellow walls. Either do all black, or another solid color that is more in keeping with the Tuscan tones of your walls—sage green, rusty brown, etc.

The stone is beautiful but the mustard painted walls won't go with the stone. Can you repaint your walls? If not then search for a brown granite.

Got ya. Yeah Unfortunately I had the walls painted before I decided to redo the countertops :(. They’re not really as mustard as they appear in the picture, more of a wheat but yes def close enough to mustard to be problematic :). I really appreciate all of your feedback. Guess I’ll switch gears and look for something with more of a brown color. If it’s okay I’ll come back and post those choices when I find them because I need help because I’m really bad at this haha :).Thanks again everyone!

I would buy the granite you love and paint the walls.

I have had rooms painted and changed the color within a week. Paint is the cheapest remodeling cost, but the most important. You need a color that ties all the other finishes together. It should be the last thing chosen in a remodel.

Oh boy.....that wall color HAS GOT TO GO! It is much too yellow and warm-toned for both your white cabinets and your floor, it does not look good with either. At all.

I would choose a countertop that pairs nicely with the cabinets and flooring then choose a wall color that looks good with things overall and ties it all together. Paint is cheap and should come last -- it's what ties all the hard elements together.

The antique Persa and White galaxy seem to have warm spots in them - see if you can get samples to hold in your home near that paint. Keep in mind that other than the small strip of paint on the one side ( can't see the other side ) most of that top isn't up against the paint, just the tile you choose.

Also - Please order enough extra tile to replace the whole bottom row of tile so then the time comes to remove those builders cabinets and do new ones you will have enough tile in case they break removing the countertop

Also, if you add some crown molding to your wall cabinets it will elevate the kitchen and give you a more finished look.

How much is the granite costing per square foot? I found a nice honed white carrara marble for only $16/sq ft, so it actually turned out to be an economical option! the marble would vibe with the Tuscan/ochre look you have going on.

Sadly, the wall color really clashes with your floor. Your floor AND the countertops you like are "cool", whereas your current paint is "warm". Repainting them is a pain but, it's necessary. It looks like you did a good job painting the cabs...which is much harder than painting the walls.

If the yellow is your jam find a new stone that sings to you. There are some amazing brown, beige and warm stones with yellow sparkles on them. You will find the right stone counter for your beautiful space.

The last counter suggestions are gorgeous…but if you go this way i would avoid the dominant gold ones as they are too limiting and will clash with the floors…. the Kashmir gold is very dated ….while the Blue tides is more contemporary with less of a commitment to the gold and a better mesh with the floors…

But the walls clash with the floors, so throwing more gold into the mix isn't going to solve the problem. And IMO the wall don't do it for the white cabinets, either. So odd man out is the walls -- unless OP loves that color so much that everything is designed around it they've got to go.

I agree with @btydrvn. I’ve had the Kasmir Gold for 13 years and I hate all the gold now! Please consider something neutral. You will be so limited if you want to change paint colors. I’ve had such a hard time trying to update around it. The Blue Tide is pretty though and would be my first choice among that group because it combines cool and warm tones. But it is still a very bossy pattern. Paint is so just much easier to change than countertops. Although I don’t agree it’s necessarily cheaper. I had a quote of 15k to paint my open concept main rooms, and that doesn’t include ceilings or trim. :(
