Overhead photos make it tough to see or imagine what the pot is like, but the soil looks saturated and low in the pot. I suspect you are overwatering it. It may also need more light, but my maranta definitely doesn’t like being in constantly moist soil.

i would probably dump it out of the pot ... and see whats left of the roots ... in the meantime i would look for a plastic pot that snuggles in your pretty pot .... maybe i would do that first ...

then i would repot it in fresh pre-moistened media ... and repot it.. feel the weight of the pot .... then water it in .. and feel the weight of the pot again.. and not water it again until the pot is as light as it was before you flooded it in ... no matter how long that took to happen.. no artificial schedules for watering ...

and after a week or so.. letting it settle down from the repotting.. i would put it in as much light as you can...

i think its struggling with too much water.. ..and not enough light ...

I used Promix potting mix on mine and it seems to be doing well. I also stopped watering from above and just let it soak up what it wants from a saucer. Maybe it’s my imagination but it seems to be happier. Mine are also planted in plastic pots. I never fertilize, but I guess I should

Chrissy, I don't have as many houseplants in this house since moving, not as many places with good light (how they loved those E facing skylights ;0)) But I do still have 4 prayer plants. Bright indirect light. I don't let them completely dry out, plastic pots in cache pots and I take them to the laundry room sink, flood, let drain. I hadn't been good about fertilizing houseplants but find they appreciate a mild dose somewhat frequently....1/2 strength about twice a month.

One in my bedroom that is about 15 yrs will begin to look shabby - maybe every 12-18 months. I can usually find sharp little points at soil level that are new growth points. As soon as those are up an inch or two I cut the old stems off and it renews itself with all new foliage.
