Have you sat in either one?

No but the reviews for both are great regarding comfort and I plan to put cushions on the seat as well.

What does your dining furniture look like? Is it in the sightline of the island?

I like the second one just a bit better. Both are nice choices❣️

I like the ones in the stock photo 😬

Personally I like my island seats to be cushy, and I'm not a fan of moveable cushions, especially on taller chairs when people slide off instead of lift off. If you don't plan on using them that often, I suppose it's fine, either would work. Which depends on your decor. The first says more farmhouse to me, the second more contemporary.

Both are very nice, but personally, I like second, it's amazing,

Haha I get you I’ve liked these too! Just so expensive !!

Don't like either. For me comfort is key which is why they must be cushioned (and not removable cushions)

@newbie93 well that design, or something similar, is probably easy to find away from Pottery barn markups. I got my amazing, cushy island stools at Home Goods! Just takes a bit of searching.

@Sammie J I don’t have any dining furniture as of yet …I’m thinking rustic wood table and grey padded mid century modern chairs

Suggest a style that works better with your flooring, white island, and eventual MCM dining chairs

IMO stools are a perfect place to add some color and honestly cushions on as tool set are really a PITA and I would aslo keep color in your mind for the chairs.
