If you have a few steps up from the garage the door needs to swing out of the garage. If you keep the wall between the mudroom and the laundry area, you will hardly see the washer and dryer from the mudroom.

If you are enlarging the breezeway, consider adding space between it and the sunroom.

Instead of adding a bath circled in red, put it and the laundry in the extended space.

Inset the steps leading to the breezeway.

Consider that your plans for the main house -- moving the kitchen, will result in a house that looks like you moved the kitchen. The great room space will be oddly shaped.

This is not an easy plan to fix without doing more work than I'm sure you want to do.

@PPF. If only I had endless funds! Of course, I like your suggestion of adding space behind the house but I'm sure we can't swing that. Maybe a bump out? Extremely unlikely that I can spend any more money on this house. I am curious though, if we moved that bathroom to the area you suggest, what would we do with that red circled area?

I had considered inset steps. Would you only do that if we added to that space? If we did it without the extra space, we'd lose 'precious' space in that room.

Can't really do anything about the plans in the main house at this point. Walls have been removed and things are in motion. Final decisions have to be made early to mid week.

eta - to add photo of the back of the house. (trees have been removed). Not sure how we'd tie into the roof, if we were to add to the back.
