post another picture looking at the kitchen please. this seems very cluttered right now. I would steer toward something much simpler and pull from the tone of the drawer pulls but maybe mixed metal, and a lot less heavy, you can have simple iron look too. also depends on the table and the rest of the space

I don't think you want to reinforce that Tuscan Style anymore. Select fixtures in a dark finish.

If you are tired of the dark wrought iron, I suggest you select a metal that matches your drawer pulls. Maybe the globes could be clear glass or choose a fixture w/o globes to make the area look less cluttered.. Using recessed lights above the island is also a good idea.

It is a pretty space and the tilework in the arch is quite nice so thinking that modern slender baton pendants would be nice. i still like my first suggestion for a chandelier but I might come back with others.

Beware of some crusades against something they keep calling ”Tuscan” but writing here from Italy i can assure you there are no particularly Tusan features tou your kitchen and you can go with whatever you like. Your furnitue choices are well done

Good Morning, thanks for the extra photos, those are old Murry Feiss fixtures, I remember that series well. I have not read what the others have said. I am really thinking about less is more in this space. I also do no think this is a Tuscon look, I would hedge more to rustic or meditation with a bit of modern flair. The table and chairs are none of these things so I would consider a light that can blend both.

And yes I have very similar fabric on my nook chairs and they do not hold up well at all.

I remember that series well too, and had one of those pendants...they are well made and cannot altered for sure. You have interest in the ceiling, and a gorgeous view out the windows! All you need is an airy chandelier above the table and recessed lights for the rest. Don't block anything.

Have you moved in yet? I would not change anything for at least 6 months, until I decided what direction I wanted to go in for the whole house. Make a roadmap for changes and figure out budgets and timelines. You might want to look for a local Interior designer that has done similar projects of taking a Mediterranean style interior and going to a more transitional style. Lots of this house style in FL are being updated and refreshed.

I think a nice big chandelier that you love to go with table and chairs and recessed lights over the island.

I don't know...normally I like wrought iron anything, but all I see when I look at your kitchen is the black rods coming down from the ceiling, and they detract from the lovely kitchen. They seem too low, and too "in your face". Maybe something lighter in color would fade more into the space.

I agree with lucky I would not put pendants back over the island
