Please share your experience with folding glass doors

We have a Panoramic Door system across a 24' wide wall between our family room and outside deck. We've been very happy with it but I believe two of the panels have lost their integrity as I can see condensation during certain weather conditions. The system is attractive and very easy to open as many or few panels as we like. We initially chose it because it was one of the few systems that offered a retractible screen which works perfectly.

We now need to buy another for a vacation home. Here's the problem. I've contacted Panoramic multiple times about the condensation and can't get them to respond/follow through. I've even had the sales rep we purchased from and who is helping me with the potential second purchase reach out to service 3 times and I get an initial email telling me to contact them but, when I do, dead silence.

All this to get to: if you have a folding glass door to your exterior, what brand do you have and are you happy with it. Bonus if you have doors that aren't at the top end of the $$$ range. We did look at Nana and didn't care for them as much as Panoramic.

Have you thought about window treatments for folding doors yet? Depending whether they fold in or out, you have different options. A great solution are blinds that install directly to each folding panel and travel with it without getting damaged between the panels.

You do not mention where in the country you are located or what the interior material is but I would look at Western, Fleetwood, Arcadia, and Solar Innovations for starters.

The new house is in Southern California. Our current home, with the faulty panes, is in Northern California. I appreciate the brand suggestions, @millworkman, thank you.

Then the brands I mentions would all be good starting places in my opinion. Western, Fleetwood and Arcadia all have production facilities on the west coast and "should" all be able to meet the Title 24 requirements, but I would verify that.

May I ask how long you have had the Panoramic Doors? Also, is there a roof that covers the doors on the outside?

I live in Pennsylvania and am currently researching options for bifold or sliding doors to open up a 15ft space onto a deck. I like the flexibility of the Panoramic Doors system, individual panels that provide more flexibility; however, I’ve also been in touch with Nanawall and hope to visit a showroom in Philadelphia. I’m hoping that seeing the doors will help me to determine which way I would like to go….even though I can’t see Panoramic in person. Being in PA, I need to consider cold temps and snow as well. I would be so curious to hear your final decision of Panoramic over Nanawall, even though now you are experiencing some condensation?

Erica, we have had the Panoramic Door about 4 years and, yes, there is a roof overhang covering the doors. Of course, your elements are quite different from ours. I do really like the way it works. We would have no hesitation about ordering a second one if their service were appropriately responsive. We've had Milgard windows for 22 years and several have failed over the years. You call, make an appointment and MIlgard comes out and takes care of it.

If anyone else has other door suggestions for us, I'd love to hear. I'm not able to see samples of Western, Fleetwood or Arcadia locally...or, so far, I haven't been able to find them.

Panoramic did ultimately respond and replace the glass panels. We did add Panoramic doors to our second home and are very happy with them.
