Likely to be all for nought. If you could avoid watering completely until the end of August, you might get them to sprout then.

Otherwise, water 3x per day for 5-15-30 minutes depending on your sprinkler - water enough to moisten the seed and the soil it is sitting on. If it gets muddy or squishy, then you are watering too long.

Personally I would put my own seed down. The seed some of these contractors lay down is low grade junk seed as far as I'm concerned. Get a coated seed and for best results a mix of KBG, Fescue and Perianal Rye. This would be a poor time to try and seed, so I agree with comment above, but if your going to seed now, you have to keep the seed moist. Be sure the seed is firmly between a layer soil. Meaning, there is a layer loose soil, seed was thrown down and then a very light layer of soil was thrown on top of that, also tamp it down. Then you could throw down some starter fertilizer. Then water the heck out of it, do not let it dry out is the whole key.
