^^ I agree. I actually would not choose those floors even if your counters were a solid color. Those floors are stripey and variegated, and you would be wringing your hands trying to get anything to go with them. And anything with a gray tone is particularly difficult to find things to go with it.

What other options are available?. is a different floor in the kitchen possible?

Thank you every one. The problem is that we are updated an older split level home. We took up tile in the kitchen and dining and want to put LVP throughout the first floor. I was hoping to make the area look bigger.

Since you choose the Lifeproof product, I looked at a few:

I liked Trail Oak

And I also liked Fresh Oak

Definitely look at a whole box before you make a decision, though!

Gotta agree with Patricia Coldwell Consulting on this one.

I used Sterling Oak on a project before. It has nice look and is a gray shade. You could wait until everything else is installed to decide so you can see how the flooring would look in the room.

Two samples you show us are too dark if you want to make area look bigger.

Two ones from HD look too orangy for me.

I would go with light flooring as background from your countertop.

I'd also recommend a grey European Oak SPC core product like LVP with a real wood top layer. No repeat.
