A white gutter and painted downspout would help. Why are the windows positioned that way? If there’s no real reason, fix it. If they have to stay that way, wide trim might even things up a bit might help. Or, it could highlight the problem. Window boxes under the matching ones? Landscaping the front will definitely help draw focus elsewhere.

Due to the placement of the house number, I presume the road is to the left side of the house. If so, I would install a fence above that retaining wall to help hide the utility portion that is making it look like the back of the house. Get the hose and other upkeep items behind the fence. As said. white gutters/downspouts will disappear and clean up the overall appearance. Upgrade your thriller, spiller, filler pots and flank the door with a pair of them. Put a clean lined bench with a back on the wall where they are now, and add the 3rd pot right of the bench. Remove the hanging pots from the porch and hang them on the fence with more draping plants in them. I don't see any kind of porch light, but imagine their is a builder's special ceiling light up in the porch roof. I would drop a prettier light down from that location so it could be seen from the street. If you want lights flanking the door, they should be 1/3 of the door's height. Keep them simple and modern; no curly ques.

I think when you get the landscaping done the house will look great . I like thosecorner windows they seem to be on many 1950s homes we have huge ones in our LR and I love them .Could you post some pics from further back .

A lot depends on how much work you can do now.

I might want to start with making a front porch along the big empty wall.
Depending on budget and interior layout I might add some French doors leading out to the porch.
I think this will change a lot. Especially because it seems to be a quaint and quiet neighborhood.
I think the above idea of adding a light by the front door is a great one! And maybe add some wood to the front as well. I’d probably wrap the posts in wood. And possibly some window trim and window boxes.
