if its growing with such gusto.. one might argue that it got over whatever stress it experienced back in time ...

so i guess i wouoldnt worry about some unknown multiplying factor of stress ...

just do it ...

what i wonder is why its doing this so fast .. i repot once every 5 years.. whether they neeed it or not ...

are you hyper fertilizing??? .. or using media with fert??

otherwise ... seems like you are complaining that you are being to successful ... whats that all about ???

Repot it. These are very hardy plants. I have one I placed outside in zone 6 in the US, and it's growing gigantic leaves. All the aerial roots have firmly anchored themselves in the ground. Come Sept / Oct I will cut all those roots and bring the plant back inside. It will recover without issue. Go ahead and repot yours, it'll be just fine.

No I haven't ever used fertilizer, I suppose its just one happy plant.

Thank you for the advice, I agree they are very hardy plants and I want to address the soggy soil before winter especially as I've seen yellowing/browning on the leaves recently.

Off to repot I go!
