I've never used both in the same time period. I've been meaning to try Tide Free and Clear powder again but usually when I'm using free and clear I'll use the Tide liquid which seems to perform better on greasy stains.

As for the Tide w/ Bleach I stopped using it because the boxes are too big and I never got through it before it started clumping. Right now I'm using Tide w/ Oxi powder which seems to be almost the same except the scent is different.

Like @beaglenc, I too cannot tolerate scents in my laundry detergent. So Tide with Bleach could be the best detergent made in the universe for all I know, but the scent makes it a non-starter for me. Since you are asking this question, does that mean that the scent does not bother you? Or only bothers you to a degree?

We're not overly sensitive to scents if mild, and I add an extra rinse to many loads - or at least loads that have things in them that will come in contact with skin. That's most of it ;0) Sheets, towels, clothing....

I have bought Tide Original powder for many years - it cleans well. If I have something washing where I would like to add bleach, I add bleach. My choice.

I buy it at Costco where its somewhat regularly $6 off. Right now there are two Costco boxes unopened in my clean dry heated basement purchased at the discounted price, one opened in my laundry room that will clump some at the bottom by the time I'm ready to transfer it into my smaller air tight daily container.

I prefer Tide with Bleach over Tide Free/Gentle powder. Why? Bleach Activator in Tide with Bleach.

I, too, put all my powders in containers with twist on lids. This prevents clumping.

Clorox2 pods have the same activator as Tide/bleach. I believe the powder version does too but I can only find the pods.

Pat, I've used All f/c powder one time. I found it harder than Tide powder to rinse. I don't think it has as many enzymes as Tide.

I've never used the F&C Tide. Only Tide with bleach and only for white loads. So I have no reason to use the F&C version. (I do use All F&C occasionally, mostly on light colored sheets.)

FWIW, my boxes of All F/C powder w/stainlifters and Tide F/C powder both have enzymes listed in the ingredients .

That same Tide F/C powder also has "Color safe bleach - sodium carbonate peroxide" listed on the side, so I avoid that one for dark colors. There might not be enough to make a difference, since it is not described as a "w/bleach" formula, but why test the fates? LOL

I can't tell much difference between the two, but our clothing doesn't get very dirty, either. Hubby's sweaty golf clothing (poly wicking fabric) has come out really clean this summer, with the liquid All F/C stainlifters "odor relief". That inherent "funk" is gone. . . or sufficiently diminished to where it is not noticeable.

M Miller, the slight scent of Tide With Bleach powder does not bother me but it irritates my skin more than Tide F/C, so i tend to use it for hubs' whites. Nothing makes him itch -- drives me crazy. And actually, Bea, the All F/C powder rinses better for me than Tide F/C. Wish Greeny would chime in here and say whether he still likes All F/C better than Tide F/C!

I never tried Tide w/bleach powder so can't comment on that but I use Tide free powder on a daily basis and am very happy with it. Tide has more enzymes than All powder and I find it cleans a tad bit better than All. Tide and All both rinse beautifully in my moderately hard water. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either.

My other daily driver is Tide F&G w/Downy liquid but I'm using powder more and more because it cleans better than the liquid, at least for me anyways.
