What's wrong with my maple tree and how to treat?

Help part of my maple tree thinks its fall already...the leaves are reddish brown and crisp and falling like its fall..the branches that these leaves are on seem strong with no sign off decay. What is wrong and what can I do to fix? Note this is Acer commemoration sugar maple that is about 4 years old...this is the first summer it has done this. See pics below

Unfortunately, it looks a lot like Verticillium wilt. August is always the time of year it suddenly shows up in random areas of my fields. Contact a certified arborist or send a sample to your local university plant disease diagnostic lab if you want a definitive answer.

Assuming it is Verticillium wilt, the good news is that it doesn't always kill the tree. If you remove any of the dead branches, make sure to sterilize your pruning tools between cuts.
