The RH2V is a true variable speed unit. While you don't need a 2 stage furnace with a single stage condenser, it will allow you to take advantage of thermostat-controlled dehumidification (by slowing down the fan speed 10%-15%) which can be useful in humid climates. Of course, using a two stage condenser would dehumidify much better.
