You’re not the only person, I love it too. Unfortunately, in my 1932 house, the trim was all painted years before I purchased it. I’ve only stripped a little bit in the kitchen.

I love it too!!! I was lucky because the PO did what little stripping needed to be done. The house was otherwise a complete *mess* (foreclosure) when I looked at it, but I walked in and saw radiators and this wood colonnade. I immediately wanted it. This is the colonnade after I had painted the walls, carpeted the LR, and redone the hardwood in the DR.

That colonnade would sell me, too!

Mine is a 1938 bungalow -- all trim is just like you see in the photo. I have the full set of blueprints and can see that another large bank of windows (like you see) was removed from both the LR and kitchen. The PO did a kitchen remodel and all built-ins were removed. :(

What is your trim like? What kind of vibe does your house have? Can you post photos?

My trim isn't the same, but similar. Here's what I came up with for photos. My vibe is not modern.but on the other hand, I wouldn't mind updating some things (like the wallpaper). But first, the bedroom.

Beautiful wood! I’m not sure what kind of updating you want to do with your bedroom, but I searched on “craftsman bedroom natural wood” as a starting point. Here’s one example of using wood that I particularly like (ignoring the clearly Mission-style bed :)

We have yellow pine trim throughout. Every room is a different paint color.
