Adding worms to my compost pile

I have a compost pile with mainly decomposed leaf matter and was wondering what the process would be to add worms to the mix. The pile is about 4'X8' and 2' tall now but when the leaves fall that height will triple. There is some vegetable food waste.

You don't have to add worms, because they will find it.

I agree. Providing your heap is on the ground worms will come if there is food there for them. And they'll go for the food waste before the decayed leaves.

You both are right. It hasn't been turned for a while. I just stirred it up and there are worms, larva, and other crawling insects. They didn't care for me scratching around in their home.
