Question on basement floor fix

Hello Experts,

i recently bought a townhouse and its basement have one cement patch kind off which looks weird. attaching its picture. i asked about it to the existing owner who was the first owned and he said he noticed this first time and builder gave like this. this is just 4 yr old house. there is no water or leak but just worried what was this fix for

Plumbing moved maybe, tough to tell for sure, but there is a pipe of some sort right there.

Do i need to be worried about this? any easy way (without digging) to check this? are you talking about the black pipe?

I suspect that the black pipe is a vent that had to be moved or added during construction after the floor had been poured. As a basement they didn't take steps to disguise the patch.

As above. The builder had to move something that was already sitting in the slab. They cut the concrete, accessed the pipe they needed and then poured more concrete to fill the hole they just made.

In short, there is nothing wrong here. It isn't pretty. I'll give you that. It's just an eyesore. That's it.
