Consider what kind of storage you'll likely use them for, if you prefer the separation of storage then 24" would be a consideration. For the two 36-inch idea, you might consider having shelving done in the middle and use decorative baskets, etc. Our wall is shorter than yours so did only two 28-inch and used 3" filler between them to space apart.

Frankly, it’s a laundry room and unlikely to be seen by guests. Get whatever works best for you. I have 4 cabinets above my washer and dryer (on pedestals). All but one is useless to me without getting a stepladder. Function, then beauty, in this case, IMO. Good luck!

Thank you jackowskib and Etta. I've decided to go with 15" wide single door on each side and two 36" wide double door in the middle. I love to see things match on each side.
