I picked one up a few years ago, can't remember the name. The scent sucked me in, I had to have it. I do like the foliage, but it takes a couple years at least to beef up. I just moved mine late this spring to a spot with more shade but moister. Other than that, not much to say. It's just kind of "there", not really a plant I jump up and down about, but makes a nice finely-textured filler, and I enjoy the sweet scent of the flowers. When it decides to bloom, that is -- it doesn't bloom every year for me. At least not yet.

(Starting to bloom in NOVEMBER??)

I have one, bought 7 or 8 years ago, planted against my east-facing house wall in average soil. It is now about 6ft tall to the top of the budding blooms, and about 4-5 ft circumference. It gets morning sun after 9am until 2pm in summer, less at other times of the year due to tall oaks lining the yard. Blooms smell delicious, like honey, and are covered with bees, etc. Leaves are attractive and never seem to get damage from insects or bunnies. Overall, a very good plant, if not exactly exciting. Mine has seeded a couple of times -- not a nuisance at all, as it gives me new plants to tuck in other areas. (Don't recall the specific variety)

My original one has not opened the blossoms yet -- it tends to bloom late summer/early fall here.

Rouge - I can't find that picture - I didn't move all the old garden photos over to this computer when we got it earlier this year.... But I do still have several 'White Pearl' bugbanes that bloom very late. I don't always takes pictures of them but here are a couple of them blooming late in various years:
