You downsize your condiments. Or get a separate 24” for them and the rest of the stuff that won’t fit in an 18K refrigerator. Plus buy a beverage fridge, separate freezer, and separate ice maker. Because youll need them too. You’re up to 30K on cold storage. You can build a walk in fridge and freezer with 20x the capacity of all of that together, for just the price of the SZ.

Either step down to the 42” French Door model, which has condiment shelves on the doors, or pick a different brand. We have the 42”FD SZ, paneled. It fits a ton, and like the previous SZ we had in our former home, keeps food fresh for a long, long time. Best fridges we’ve ever owned, with the best customer service in the industry. Well worth the $$$.

@annbecchina - have you seen the SZ Pro in real life? I saw it, and I actually did not like the all-stainless-steel interior. Too clinical and lab-ish. And, as you point out, who has a fridge that can actually look attractive through a window? Who, I ask you?

A cut flowers arraingement will be viewable and last much longer in that frig. Would be an attractive addition to a kitchen area.

While you can buy clear or white plastic organizers for your refrigerator, kids are not likely to put everything back as neatly as you might like with that glass door. The fantasy of the glass door refrigerator appeals to me, but the reality is that my husband would think I'd lost my mind if I asked him to organize drinks and other items in neat, forward facing, rows. It would be a bone of contention and after 40+ years together we've learned to avoid those.

The 42" side-by-side SZ has five door shelves on the refrigerator side, which we find is usually enough for condiments. We're also putting a much less expensive 36" refrigerator in the nearby laundry room to hold drink mixers, beer, Cokes, and the extra food needed for family visits or parties (whenever we have them again.)

We're going to use th Pro-48 in our build. A good alternative with more storage/less money could be separate 36" fridge/freezer with glass door fridge which gives you 72". When we had it in our last home, we used clear plastic bins to store smaller items (we have no kids to deal with). If you decide on the Pro-48, perhaps you can also use separate undercounter refrigeration drawers to store smaller items.
