So sorry this happened to you. The damage looks extensive. I'm not a designer, but I'm going to advise you to engage a designer since this is practically like fitting out a new build. Many people would be overwhelmed by having to make this many choices. At the very least, use a kitchen designer (if you're replacing the kitchen) and someone competent at a flooring store who can help you coordinate your flooring choices. Once you choose your flooring, then choose paint colors. At some Benjamin Moore stores (flagship stores) they have color consultants who will come to your house and help you choose colors for a nominal fee. Sherwin Williams probably does something similar. You will not get much help at the big box stores. If you are not an enthusiastic and confident do-it-yourselfer you should seek out more help.

This forum is great for suggestions on tweaks, or you can set up a vote for two different colored items if you're having trouble choosing, but we can't offer a comprehensive design for multiple rooms. Good luck, and engage an insurance adjuster if you're having trouble getting enough money from your insurance company.

If you think it's tough making decisions while being there,how difficult is it from miles away? People on forums will tell you anything as long as they don't have to pay for it.. Playing that game always results in change orders and change orders are always expensive so tread lightly.

You sound a little overwhelmed. You probably want to find a designer to work with to help you create a cohesive plan.

I see the remediation company has done their job. Other than color choice and flooring choice, the insurance company will only replace. Anything else will be at your expense. There won't be a lot of choices involved. If you want to update something, now is the time to do it. But, you need a plan and organization.
