I have my blood lilies in morning sun and they do very nicely. They are real easy to dig up and move wherever you want them. The leaves die down during our cool winter, so I imagine your would start to fade away in a month or so. Our soil never freezes so I simply leave the bulb in the ground. I love the unusual flowers that pop up in the spring before the leaves sprout.
