Closing up the cottage: Open or closed shades?

Hi, I'm getting ready to close up my cottage for the winter; we drain the pipes and shut off the heat. Our little place is on the water in Atlantic Canada, so a cold, windy climate, but it's east-facing so gets morning sun through a big picture window. Question: Do I leave the shades/blinds open or closed? Open means it would stay a little warmer, closed means the hardwood floors are less likely to get sun bleached in funny patterns around the furniture.
