I don't see how to vote for those options, both photos are "before " shots.

Anyway, I don't think marble is right for your kitchen. (I'm assuming you are considering Carrera or another white and grey marble, correct?). It will clash with your floors and overall your kitchen feels too casual for marble.

With your floors and overall vibe of the space I think butcherblock would be the best choice. Good luck!

These countertops in the pics are before shots. I didn’t want a “ poll/ vote, I wanted advice , so thank you for yours. I’m just not sold on the marble look. I would love to find a butcher block look in a laminate. We are rough in our kitchen , so we need something durable!

Our house was build in the 1950’s and it was my grandmothers house, so it is special in its own way. I like the farmhouse look but more modern. I can see your point Nicole on the marble countertops! Makes sense to me, it just wouldn’t look right.

Maybe look at solid textured Formica that compliments the floor. Then if space allows add a small island work table with butcher block.

If the floor stays it limits countertop options. I would likely save up to do a quartz in a complimentary subtle color. Possibly change grout color to enhance tiles?

What a quaint 50s kitchen! How cute. With that highly patterned/coloured floor, I'd recommend a solid colour solid surface (like Corian), or a very, very subtle pattern.
