What color are your cabinets? Floor? Walls? Do you like modern, traditional?

Wow! The granite sounds really different and terrific. Pictures of it and your kitchen would be so helpful even if the color is not exactly spot-on. Thanks.

Most showpiece granites look great with tumbled stones which come in various sizes and colors but compliments the granite nicely.

I would pick the unique colors in the granite, like the grey, and incorporate silver/grey accents in the splash. Grey is a calming color and this is what makes this granite beautiful. Would do the same if the granite has red spots.

Agree with previous comments. Your granite is lovely but it has a very active grain pattern. Keeping the backsplash simple and elegant using natural stone is a good idea. For a little bling bling, you can inset tiles, mosaics, trims of coordinating choice into the field of plainer stones. Go to your local tile place, borrow or purchase the tiles and bling bling you like. Take them home, lay them against your backsplash and stare at them for a few days. The answer will come.
