Ha! They're felt actually, with wire, so they get that 3d look. You're right, I should just keep the bats. And thank you, the island is pretty sexy.

Why can't the bats stay up year round if you like them?

Probably get more help if we could see the space next to this wall. I happen to love the bats and see no reason to not let them stay. Maybe just paint the wall another color or a nice console table on that that wall with a great lamp to balance out the bats.

There is no limit as to what you can do with the wall. You can simply paint it, or add a console table, art, etc and highlight its use.

If you like the 3D look of bats flying by, why not look for wall sculptures such as leaves, trees, etc. that emulate the look.
