A tiny room with blue and pink immediately brings to mind ’nursery.’

(I have that same vacuum. Love it.)

My opinion- keep the white trim and lower half. Paint the walls a pale pink (maybe a shade lighter than you proposed). The space is lovely and the soft pink is a flattering color for any video calls. Get a low light plant if you have the space and a soft desk lamp.

Blue and pink also make me think nursery - is there a reason you are putting them together, do you have an inspiration photo? I don't think that blue and that pink coordinate well unless you have something else tying them together (fabric or an art piece). I love the white dove and wood flooring in the space and think I would leave that then use the sea serpent on the upper wall with a statement light fixture.

Pink and blue definitely go together and not necessarily all nursery looking. Are you going to have a window covering? Perhaps bring in pink in fabric …or wallpaper.

Thank you, everyone, for your comments. I really like the first image Gargamel posted as a possible wallpaper approach. I think I’ll stick with the white dove trim on the bottom for now, and try to find a very pale pink for the walls.

I’d love to try the sea serpent on top but am afraid it would feel too heavy given the room is only 33 sq feet. I need to get this done by tomorrow, so that’s why I’ll keep it safe for now. I’ll post the finished job!

I really dislike the bookshelves - they unbalance the room and are unattractive . Do you need all those books within arms reach? Can you even reach them all? I would go through all of them and only keep the ones you use all the time within arms reach. If you must keep the shelves, they need to be uncluttered and attractive. I love the watercolor floral wallpaper!

I love Conch Shell for a grown up pink.

I think you also need to change your lighting - seems to be very yellow. I use daylight (5000k)

If you want a truly pale pink, take a look at Benjamin Moore Whitewater Bay OC-70. Yes, it is part of the "off white" collection but trust me (and your eyes) it is pink.

Gatgamel - I saw that it was fabric but meant that I’d love to find a similar wallpaper. 🥰 I’ll be putting in a track light Jennifer and will try cooler lighting as you suggest. Hollybar-I’m leaning toward repainting with OC-70.’ That’s more what I wanted, thank you. Shady willow farm - I hear you.

I’ll post a picture of my eventual hope for this office, which would do away with the shelves over the desk. I’ll de-clutter for now, good point. I appreciate everyone’s suggestions - thanks for taking the time. Here’s in progress (1st coat) with Benjamin Moore’s Mellow Pink 2094-70. I’ll see how it is with the second coat but it seems tooooo pink right now. Lighting is terrible right now!

Eventual hope is to do something like this image - bigger window, wraparound shelves like here, no over-the desk-bookshelves, and a slim cabinet with drawers on the left. A narrow cabinet or open shelves on the right and below the window.

If you painted the top part of the wall blue that might work, however you could also do wallpaper. We might suggest using a roman shade on the window as well. Here are some of our home office designs that might help you more.
