Your right! That would be perfect- would you do pewter on the black or gold on the black?

I wouldn’t do gold anywhere. Stick with pewter.

Definitely pewter on the black. Avoid gold -- fake gold always looks fake.

pewter or iron or cool metal. not the warmer piece. your dark gray painted section is very cool...it almost looks blue.

I love the idea of antique gold but the black lights are throwing me. I think black faucet, black hardware on wood

Wow. This is the nicest kitchen I've seen in a long time. It reminds me a bit of sochi's extraordinary kitchen. They did some very cool wafer pulls in brass. Let me see if I can find pictures.

I don't know if I'm loving the idea of black pulls. I think it might muddy things.

ETA: here is a link to some in progress pics of her kitchen. I don't think she ever posted finished pics.

I just bought a Delta champagne bronze faucet (was choosing between Cassidy and Broderick) for our kitchen renovation, and I really like the color. Our cabinets will be stained in a shade pretty similar to yours with the kitchen vent hood and island stained in black. We are most likely going to get Top Knobs in honey bronze for our hardware. We put the faucet and hardware side by side at the showroom, and the colors look similar.

No to the antiqued gold. I think it would be a bit flashy and cheapen the look of that gorgeous kitchen.

Would you consider antique brass? I grew up in a beautiful old farmhouse with a pantry done in quartersawn oak lower cabs and open shelves. The hardware was all brass and it just seems it would also suit what you have going on which is so similar.

Is this the color of antique brass you think would work?

OMG, I was just looking into asking nearly this same question. There is an inspirational photo I am using to design my new kitchen...very close to what you've done. My kitchen will literally have these three windows and china cabinets uppers. My cabinets will be a very dark navy blue and I will not have black light fixtures, but you got very close...I am not sure about pewter though I agree that it might look better with your black fixtures, especially if your cabs are gray and not navy... however, I do love antique brass with navy...

I would do the champagne and get upper hardware to match (someone posted above that they found a honey bronze that matches. I would use black on the lowers to tie in the lighting.

soft brass but do handles, not knobs. The cup pulls would be fine, handles on the uppers

is this an optical illusion or are the pendants not centered over the island? the left one looks further inward than the right.

My photo is off centered which makes the lights off balanced. Thank you all! @K Brown - the photo you shared is one that I have used as part of my idea board. The photo is from newoldcustomhomes. The color of the cabinets is Benjamin Moore Midnight Oil. I am second guessing my lighting - before the countertops went in the midnight oil looked more black than blue; however, the countertop made the color of the cabinets more navy blue.

@HU-187528210 - this is a great idea to make the cabinets look older.

What wood are your lower cabinets? love them!

@barrheadlass the cabinets are hickory with a darker stain.

@Blankenship Farms I have seen pulls that have both black and brass/gold somewhere, but cannot find the ones I had considered. These are an idea.

Just found where Homebunch gave all the details on the kitchen that was the inspiration including all the hardware.

@Blankenship Farms Would you care to weigh into my own design dilemma? LIGHTS?

@K Brown I’d be glad to talk lights.

i would do black or some sort of brass/gold to keep with the "warm" feel. Pewter does not read 'warm'...

check out this company. we ordered our BR hardware from them and not disappointed! they are made to order right here in the USA. we ordered 'matte satin brass' and could not be happier!

We recommend keeping the black and champagne colors in your kitchen because you do have different cabinet colors and pendent lights.

If you go with black it doesn’t have enough contrast on the wall cabinet and if go with champagne same on the base cabinet.

We suggest choosing something that has both colors in one like the picture that I’ve attached.

It has a combination of black and champagne.

The small white line is also matched with your countertop.

Have knob for doors and pull for drawers.
