Well done! I would incorporate colour via art and accessories and do not be afraid to find a tall framed and interesting mirror to hang over your vanity in place of the current one if desired. This would draw the eye upwards. I cannot tell from the pictures but be sure that your curtain start at the window frame and not over the window's frame, this will give the impression that your windows are wider that they actually are.

Since the headboard is curved perhaps a wall sculpture would be more appropriate for above the headboard? I am thinking like this (unfortunately I do not know how to photoshop it into a photo):
