Need kitchen faucet that doesn't splash

I seem to make a wet puddly mess around the kitchen faucet whenever I do dishes. I don't recall ever having this problem in other homes or faucets. I'm really just washing dishes, I don't think I'm extra careless or sloppy. Could it be the side handle, or the set up of my current faucet?
Is there a faucet that would solve this problem? I'm remodeling to a much narrower counter around sink in a peninsula. I measured my current splashing, and it's often 8 inches beyond faucet, and in new kitchen will be on peninsula back and on floor. No good.
My current faucet Kohler Malleco is touchless, but it puddles in both touchless or manual mode. I think it's a combo of the side temp control and neck/flow being too close to the counter.

The water pressure in your faucet may be too high.

There are Hot and Cold water valves under your sink. Turn them to reduce the water pressure until you no longer have the problem with splashing.

I don't know if this is a new faucet, but have you cleaned the faucet strainer or spray? Sometimes hard water creates a build-up at the mouth of the faucet that makes it spray all over the place and it needs to be cleaned off with a product like CLR.

Get the Delta splashless faucet. Looks like a bowl of water coming out, but no splash.

I think I just got the Delta that Joe mentioned. It is called the Anderson with ShieldSpray at Lowes. I didn’t even realize it had this feature until after it was installed. I like it. $239.

I have a Kraus and no splashing so not sure what the issue is but I agree try to turn the water pressure down and use your DW more often anyway.

The head on a faucet like this can be put in a lower position for less splashing outside the sink.

I find the gooseneck faucets are far worse for this than the faucets we used to all have until 15 years ago. The old style being an upward angled faucet coming up from the countertop, that was essentially a ten inch long straight rod.

The old style faucet was inches closer to the sink, so less opportunity for splash, plus the style of handle was less likely to get accidentally pushed or pulled as a pot was moved past (causing inadvertent increases in flow). The old school style are harder to find, and no designer uses them anymore in a bad case of form over function. But i always use them in my renos.

I feel your pain. Me too with this problem. ALL of the faucets that have the 1 centimeter spray fitting/water-recuduction fitting screwed into the middle of the head will do that. Our old facets put out more water AND it was aerorated better - in incorporation of air is what keeps it from splashing and makes a softer stream. On new faucets you have less water, so they try to fool you by making the stream stronger AND SPLASHIER. Hence, you get splashed water everywhere. #1 look for a commercial-style faucet that has a wide (but slower) water spray. #2 stop voting for these people that make up these intrusive regulations. For an interim fix, I take a clip of some sort and pull the faucet down about 4 inches, attache the clip to the hose so it won't reel back in, and that helps.
