Just bought her first condo and re-did it. I'm impressed with the bathroom!

I’m 42 and just getting into DIY home renewal and will say this is really cool! Looks great!

Is she going to use a shower curtain? How will it be mounted?

She hasn't moved in yet. Don't know how she plans to furnish the place or anything about her accessories. IMO, a ceiling track and a custom curtain would be ideal.

Wow! Can’t wait to see how she finishes the rest of her place

nj - its just a little 1-bdrm condo near a local campus. She had the ceilings scraped, walls painted and put a mantel on the FP. It has W2W carpet which I don't think she's changing. Some new light fixtures are in, but I don't know what kind of furniture she has or has in mind. The bath is the show stopper - kind of like her! She's smart and pretty, and apparently has some design talent! So proud of her! How many 22 y.o. gals can buy their first "home?"

That is so fun! Great colors and such a departure from the ubiquitous fake marble/gray/veined look that is completely boring by comparison.

@decoenthusiate I just love it! You don’t see that too often. My husband and I were 23 when we bought our first home. Together we gutted and redid the kitchen and two baths. Also moved a staircase to expand our kitchen lol but I must say he had all the talent and I was his right hand person. All self taught. Working in an office all day and renovating at night and on the weekends. I loved every moment. So satisfying. We were so proud to show off our work. I am sure she is too!

    Very nice!

I like the raised sink, you don't have to stress your back while washing your face.

The extra storage cabinet over the toilet is very smart.

Recent times have shown us it is a good idea to have extra supplies.

Yeah, I don't care for the vessel sink, but everything else is super-nice ... and anything but cookie cutter!

Is she going to use a shower curtain?

It looks like she hasn't finished the glass enclosure yet.

It's an especially big accomplishment for a 22-year old. This girl's a rock star!

Why is a vessel sink a problem?

I have heard that the glass ones spontaneously crack, but if it isn't glass, why is it bad?

I love the vessel sink. Very stylish and something you don’t see all the time. Just a single girl living there so wear and tear is not much of an issue. We just installed two vessel sinks in our guest bathrooms.

    great make over!

I love how she repeated the penny tile in the cubby shelf and on the bench seat. Love the black/white/lime green color combo!

I am a vessel-sink-hater too. DH and I stayed in a hotel room with one and found it to be an elbow-banger and annoyingly in the way. It reminded me of a dishpan on the counter. (I am 5’2” and DH is 5’9”, which may have something to do with it.)

To the OP: your granddaughter is a real go-getter! 😁
