I'm not sure what you mean by bookcase couch table. Is this the main entrance you usually use? Who uses it and how often? Does this space need to have a specific function (place for keys, shoes, bags) or do you just want to create a "look"?

If you don't have a functional need for this space, I would not call attention to it. In an open concept room, you already have enough zones and visual things going on. I'd turn the door mat so it runs along the wall lengthwise, keep the picture, and remove the little table.

If more than one person comes in or goes out your door people need to be able to step to the side. I recommend a larger rug to define your 'foyer'

IMO a small demilune table and mirror makes sense for people coming in or going out.

The tree on the back of the door is a visual barrier to define your dining area.
