I really like it on the tv wall. Nice balance with the art on one side and the windows on the other. But I am afraid that continuing it on past the corner is going to create problems with furniture placement,

I really like it and I don’t think you can ever have too much storage. BUT whether it will work depends entirely on how you will furnish the rest of the room. Agree that the safer bet is to keep it to the window wall.

Forget the seats what possible use are they , I tlike the TV wall sort of but IMO those squares limit art size and TV size for no real reason. Is this your LR the rocker confuses me it is very country and the wall design not country at all except for the window seats which as I mentioned reall make no sense so maybe a better explanation as to what this space is .

I like furniture because you can take it with you if you move, i have a wall unit that I’ve moved and it has worked in every space. It was expensive, but classic and a good investment. If you decide on the built in, I wouldn’t bring the storage to the window wall. I think it will make your room seem very narrow, and seriously limit your furniture placement and curtain options. Looks like a very nice room!

I like the concept of the built-in seating but in reality if there is no backrest I'm doubting it would be comfortable to sit there. I'm mostly ok with the gridded shelving. Might advise to eliminate some of the gridding especially above the tv. Not sure about the natural wood color though. Right now it looks for like unfinished stud framing. Might suggest painting the shelving white to soften its impact. Good luck!

Your windows are lovely. Agree that any window seating depends a great deal on your furniture and its placement.

I don’t like the seating right next to the fireplace (or is that a tv?) though. Seems illogical - would anyone actually sit there? Would anyone in your household sit on a window seat at all? They really aren’t that comfortable.

Or are you planning this spot for a pet to gaze outdoors?

Is that black thing in the photo your tv? It’s a lot larger than the one in the render, if so. The tv in the render looks tiny. The ceiling in the render is different as well. I would get an elevation and plan view with full dimensions and do a mock-up with blue tape to make sure the “pretty picture” matches the reality. I think you will find those cubbies to be tiny useless dust catchers. How deep are they?

The whole setup feels like a bit much. Why not simplify it with mounted cabinetry and two shelves. This will provide storage and versatility for the room.

I love window seats and this one highlights the windows and views. I love them. I agree that, before you add the window seats, you work out furniture placement because the window seats will limit furniture placement.
