Just went thru 85 gallons of propane in 25 days
Is this a lot of propane to go thru in 25 days?

There are approximately 0.92 therms in a gallon of propane. If you used 85 gallons it would equal about 78 therms. That does not seem unreasonable amount to use in 25 days during the winter.

They say I went they 238 therms in 10 days when I blew thru 50 gallons

50 gallons X 0.92 therm/gallon = 46 therms.

Not sure who came up with 238 therms, but it is not correct.

Internet says average household uses 880 gallons per year

Internet usage numbers are rarely accurate.
