First time diy-er help

My husband and I just did our first diy bathroom make over, from afar it looks good, but close up there are lots of little things that bother me, that I think are totally fixable, I'm just trying tonget some important from people who have "been there done that before" so, my first issue is the caulk that we used, it is yellowing, even after being painted over. Like it's showing thru the paint. Is there a type that doesn't do this? It's also cracking and pulling away from the seam. So fixable, I just don't want to have to do it more than once. (Again lol) my next issue was with the paint, we got an egg shell finish, that's what we have in the rest of our house. I wasn't thinking though and with kids, in the bathroom, you can imagine, there are stains and places that just won't clean, even with a magic eraser. I have 2 options there, either repaint with a different finish or type of paint that may be easier to clean (does that exist? That's my question) or should I just change the color scheme to something less noticeable if it gets scuffed up? I'll attach some pictures of the things I'm talking about, and then a picture of the color scheme I'm thinking of, if we can't fix it with different white paint. Possibly the blue on the bottom and white on top will be less likely to get as nasty if little fingers can't reach it?? I hope this all made sense.
