I keep it in the garage and fill a smaller container for the machine area. The garage jug is too big, heavy and ugly for laundry area. Takes up too much space too. Refill as needed.

I’m impressed your garage looks good enough that a laundry detergent jug detracts fro the aesthetic!

My laundry closet has very little room for detergent - I'd have to buy very small containers. So I buy larger containers and keep a smaller amount in the 5" wide shelving unit in the closet. I use an old Nalgene leak-proof bottle with a screw on lid for that purpose.
