Cabinet damage?

Hi everyone- I need feedback from professionals. Is this normal for brand new cabinets to have this type of chipping and unevenness. This cabinet company replaced these already, but the replacements still had the same problem. The manager in NJ just said to "shave" it down.

Appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

Have the manager come over and take a look. Then ask him if thats ok for his home. You shouldnt accept uneven cabinets as they should all be a standard size. If they arent, they are poor quality. Joseph is right about the manager. Even if it was right to ”shave it down” which is an odd thing to say, why would it be your responsibility? Is this guy the manufacturer? the installer? both?

it may be problem with the wall vs cabinet and the installers are not experienced. who did the reno work?

HAHAHA you don't need 'professional feedback' to know that is shoddy work. In no world is that acceptable.

Someone racked those installing them. Easily seen. But cheap imports like that aren’t good quality to begin with.

Shave what down??? Those are not installed properly and I need a picture from further back to see the whole space. That install you show is totally unacceptable and the chipping is not either. Whwere did you get the cabinets from ? I agree the manager is an idiot.

Bad install...very bad install...with added bonus of ruined cabinet finish. Obtain yet another set of cabinets - don't let them take the old ones until after you've inspected the delivered new ones. (Unbox and inspect every single cabinet.) Get refund of any installation charge. Find a competent installer.

I inspected every cabinet while it was still in the box. They came damaged (twice) and I have two Google sheets with everything documented.

I'm not sure if its the installer because they are even from the top. The length of the wood on the cabinets are not the same. After installing the cabinet doors, there are 3 different shades of whites. These cabinets were sold to me from a store with 5 star reviews in Metuchen, NJ and he sold me these cabinets for $30,000. We ordered last June, cabinets got delivered in October, and now almost March my kitchen is still incomplete and are not functional.

I have left out all the other problems with these cabinets for now.

My contractor is fed up being on this job since October due to the incompetency of the cabinet maker and the seller.

I really don't know what to do at this point. Should I get legal help?
