It's difficult to tell what your dilemma is. Can you post some photos? And the only way to tell if the two colors from two different manufacturers are the same is to get samples of both and compare. If they are authentic Zelige tiles, there will be a lot of variation.

I think you need to see several more tiles to make a decision. And it's difficult to see colors on a computer monitor. Also you would need to see how the tiles look from a distance. It's also important to see what else is going into the room--the cabinets, counter top, flooring. The color of the wood trim can always be changed, but the other items are permanent. I'd wait until everything else is installed before selecting a backsplash tile.

If you go with a different shape zellige (like square, for example) it won’t be as thick as the small brick. That’s the easiest fix.
