Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Best sturdy, waterproof material for a bathroom vanity?

I'd appreciate any advice on some new sturdy materials for a vanity for a heavy used bathroom ( many wet hands, water dripping etc.) I do have a nice natural walnut veneer flat ( mid century modern) cabinet/vanity in my 1st bathroom but even with a special coating on the walnut, you can see the damage is starting on the wood after 2-3 years of usage. I'm planning a master bathroom remodel and would need a low maintenance, heavy water exposure, sturdy but still pretty material for the new vanity :) Thank you!

Thank you - I guess I'm wondering for the material of the actual cabinet - PVC, or other new modern but sturdy materials? Thanks

Stainless steel cabinet of if it truly gets that wet, someone needs to learn better sink use habits.

Really in a master bath this should not be an issue maybe a bit larger overhang on the front edge . I raised 3 boys with a wood vanity and never encountered this ,I have clients with Godmorgon from IKea and many of them have kids and I have never had a call about the finish.I have Ikea high gloss white cabinets in my kitchen I run a catering biz from there 15 yrs later the cabinets still look like new .
