I'd start with finding a stone, and it needs to not only closely match, but it needs to be thin. You do not want the foundation protruding past the siding.

Yes, check out the practicalities of this by speaking to a stone mason and investigating online. Not meaning to make you spend more $$$, but have you thought about painting your siding in a richer shade than you have from the lightest color in your front stone--gray at the gold end of a gray shade? The current color doesn't really bring out the stone--too much contrast. Here's the palette:

White shutters on a white house are pointless. Also, shutters on double windows aren't recommended. I like Housegal200's idea of a different color for the siding. Then don't put up any shutters at all.

Is the white hardie board paint-ready or a factory paint job? I could be wrong, but a company like Romabio might be helpful in matching a stain or paint to the color of your stone so you could simply paint the foundation. That should be cheaper and easier than doing stone. Then a good landscaper should be able to hide a lot of the exposed areas with proper landscape plants.

The stone looks great, the shutters not so much. They are undersized for the windows and for several of your windows, appropriately sized shutters would not fit or would leave no siding visible between them and each other and the corner of the house.

Only the shutters on the first window to the left of the door looks good. Having shutters on only one window would look odd.
