I would center sofa on the wall and rid off from side tables. Get a coffee table instead. May be sconces on the wall.

Or get a sofa table/console behind for lamps instead of side ones.

I agree with Celery. The side tables are trying to be symmetrical but they can not be in that space. I would start by centering the sofa on the wall and then build up around that. Sconces might work, or one side table and a lamp, with a small cocktail table on the other side. It’s a little hard to say without seeing more of your space and style.

The lamps are too large for the tables, the tables too small for the couch (realize due to wall size) and in addition, the couch‘s location. To resolve this overall awkwardness, suggest no side tables (a coffee table will be more practical anyway). Then add a console with your two lamps behind couch.

Alternatively, is there another spot for the couch, even floating in room?

Agree you'll be happier with the couch centered, but if you decide to stay the way you have it, center the art to the couch.

I agree with Celery and Ryan. A console table behind the couch may work with smaller lamps or wall sconces. Center the couch on the wall and center the art on the wall. Wall sconces with movable arms can give you light where you need it, and a coffee table in front of the couch gives you a place to put a drink or a book.

Thanks everyone! i moved the couch down and got ridnof the lamps…thinking of adding just an end table to the right side maybe with a taller floor lamp? if i leave it like thia i woild center my wall decor to the wall right? i dont have much space for a sofa table as its a pretty narrow room and need the space in front of the sofa to walk.
