Smallest Useful Vanity Tower?

We are renovating our master bathroom. The sink vanity area is 105" wide. I have purchased 2 of the Kohler Caxton Sinks (cut-out size 18.5" wide).

I MUST have a vanity/make-up area in the middle. We always host for girly-events for our daughter (like daddy-daughter dances), and I do all of the girls hair and make-up, so I need this space. I have had this before, and need it again now!

My husband keeps his electric toothbrush on the top of the counter, and it makes me crazy! LOL So, I think that I should have a very tiny vanity tower on the outside of each sink (between the wall and sink) with an outlet on the bottom shelf. This will leave the space between the sinks for the make-up/vanity I want. What is the SMALLEST vanity tower that will still be effective? I am thinking 6-8" wide and 5" deep?

Excuse my terrible drawing, just trying to show that I am thinking the towers should flank the outside, nex

t to the walls!

What are wanting to store in this tiny cabinet which BTW I dislike any tower that sits on a counter and honestly for girlie makeup parties IMO a much better spot would be in a walk in closet or even a bedroom. Bathrooms are poor for makeup storage and honestly in a 105" with 2 sinks there is not much space left for towers .

A 72" vanity is considered the minimum size needed for 2 sinks.

    72" + 24" (for makeup area knee space) = 96" minimum.

105 - 96 = 9" / 2 towers = 4.5" wide tower on each end. Outside measure. Inside will be smaller. 3.5" interior space in the tower is fairly useless. And expensive (most likely custom built). What do you want to store in the towers?

If this is in an alcove, it would be better to sink medicine type cabinets into the alcove end walls.

Drawer & door configuration as sketched won't work unless you sacrifice the top drawers to make room for the sink bowl that will hang below the counter.

IOW's, you need to rethink this factoring in how many people will be partying in the bathroom and the space needed to accommodate them.

Modern sink vanity cabinets are tall (33-36”) and that’s not a good height for a knee hole makeup desk. Maybe you could just have some folding bar stools for people to sit in, placed a few feet back from the vanity. That would allow a drawer stack, and possibly a larger linen tower.

Just make sure you have a big mirror and abundant lighting.

Have you thought of getting a vanity for your bedroom instead? i got one years ago on the advice of a friend who loved hers. it matches my bedroom furniture and is a quiet, not steamy place to do my makeup, hair etc. also minimizes the time i need to spend in the bathroom. i would not go back to doing all of that in the bathroom

Several thoughts on the usefulness of such a set-up:

    - How often do you hold these events?

    - How many more years do you anticipate holding these events? Girls age out of Daddy-Daughter dances before middle school, and in high school you can count on 2-3 school dances per year.

    - The point: Be sure you're investing your money /effort where it'll actually be used.

Thoughts on how to set this up:

    - In 105" (just over 8'), I'd definitely downsize to one sink.

    - The drawers in your sketch look small, but the activity you're describing will require drawer space for make-up, hair tools, hair products. You need larger drawers; drawers are better storage than a tower, which will steal part of your mirror.

    - You'll need counterspace to do hair; that is, you'll need space to set out curling irons, etc. to heat.

Here are examples of additional storage ideas. Don't know if my pics will post
